Hepatitis: What all Dental Professionals Need to KnowLearn the basics on hepatitis A-E, plus a mention on other types of viruses that cause hepatitis. The course will include information on the modes and risks of occupational transmission of viral hepatitis, a review of the guidelines issued by the CDC for the prevention of an occupational exposure to viral hepatitis, a discussion on clinical indicators of both acute and chronic hepatitis, prevention techniques for each individual type of virus, and knowledge of the available post exposure prophylaxis recommendations.

Child Abuse Awareness and Identification*This course is a review on the 4 basic types of child abuse in order to recognize and report the maltreatment of a child. A review of child abuse laws and information on the most common types of childhood inflicted injuries. Participants will gain the knowledge on how to report child abuse and/or report a child abuse investigation. The course includes a discussion on how to differentiate between accidental and inflicted injuries in addition to conditions mistaken for child abuse.
